Pitt’s 2022-23 season is just getting started, but Jeff Capel and his staff always have an eye on the future, and last week they signed a recruiting class that ranks as high as any Capel has brought to the Panthers.

Lyndhurst (Oh.) forward Marlon Barnes, Baltimore (Md.) guard Carlton Carrington and Missouri City (Tex.) guard Jaland Lowe all signed with Pitt last week. Lowe and Carrington are four-star prospects, with Carrington ranked as the No. 94 recruit in the class and Lowe ranked No. 116, while Barnes sits inside the top 150 as three-star prospect.

Rankings aside, Capel said this week that he is excited to for a future that includes those three players.
