Pittsburgh Panthers
Saturday was close to a perfect day for the Panthers. Virginia lost at North Carolina, Miami lost at home to Florida State on a buzzer-beater and Pittsburgh won at home by 17 over Syracuse. At the end of it all, Jeff Capel's team was alone in first place in the ACC, just like everyone predicted before the season. With road games still to be played at Notre Dame and against the Hurricanes, the Panthers will have to work hard to win that outright league title. Meanwhile, Pitt appears to be on track for an upgrade in the mock brackets from a No. 10 seed to something in the single digits. (updated Feb. 25)
