Playing zone offense is harder than one might think. We often think of two things: get the ball to the high post or screen up top for the ball handler.
The problem is there are multiple zones. For example: 2-3 zone, 1-1-3, 3-2, matchup zone, triangle and 2, and other hybrids.
I am curious to dig in deep tonight to see what zone we have to face and what we try to do. I know X likes to drive the zone, we try and do some high-low, and some pistol from what I recall.
Watch tonight to see what zone we face. Note if we have guys back cutting from the baseline, check to see if we are making quick passes with our guys moving after the pass, and are we trying to take it too far into the basket especially from the wings where a pull up 7 foot jumper might be better.
