I've seen some bitterness online that this was just a recruiting stunt but that's probably just jealousy and/or bitterness.

Bold prediction: A certain other school in the B1G who has also won a few NC's in volleyball will one-up this in a few years.

Even if it was at least partly a recruiting stunt, so what? The list of other schools that could pull off a "stunt" like this is exceedingly small.
