so you call being picked to finish 9th in the ACC, but instead winning the Coastal championship and taking the #10 team in the country down to the last out before losing on a walk off 3 run HR in the ACC championship game "pitting"--I'd instead say overachieving and having a great year.

Pitt's Softball team had a great season, and achieved a lot more than expected.
It's easy to pull the SLY mentality out and find a reason to complain. I think they had a great year, and are building something.
