Just spoke to Arlington (Va.) Bishop O'Connell offensive lineman Jay Jay McCargo, who visited Pitt this past weekend. First of all, the Panthers made a very positive impression on McCargo, and he left town with a strong desire to return two or three more times.
I thought this was really interesting: McCargo's father played with Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi at Rhode Island, and the two have kept in touch over the years. McCargo's father has a lot of respect for Narduzzi, and he passed that on to his son, who formed his own very positive opinion of the Pitt head coach.
McCargo had a lot of good things to say about his Pitt visit; I'll have an article Wednesday morning.
Here are McCargo's junior highlights.
