They equaled out a little at the end. But at one point halfway through 2nd half Pitt had one foul shot to over 10 for Wisconsin. Whisky also had 2-3 to use at end of first half.
Yeah you’re right Wisky gave 2 intentional ones at the end of the 1st half to make it look closer. The disparity over a large part of the 2nd half is understandable though considering how Wisky was getting the ball into the lane so easily by either dribble or pass.
With Dunn being out, we really need him to step up. Austin will have to start. Amsal becomes the 6th man. In the long run, maybe it is exactly what we need. Baptism by fire. Hopefully, he adapts quickly and becomes the guy we've hoped he would be.
We will get Dunn back this season. So thats a big positive after first watching him go down.
The 2nd big positive is Delalic. He now gets more time. Might or might not hurt the next 2 games, but win the rest up until January and it should pay dividends having both of them. Delalic needs the experience. He now will get it.
About this team. Solid performance in the loss, really fun game that they probably win with better referring. Amsal looked rly good today ( especially offensively ) even thought he had some good defensive possessions. I thought ish and jlowe were good but slightly inefficient, but that wont happen often. Corhen is easily the best scoring center we have had in a long while. Austin was good. GDG struggled from 3 but was OK overall. Very confident that this team can make a very nice run in march. I say they are 10-2 ( 1-0 ) going into 2025. Hail2Pitt
Hard to know what affect Dunn would've had other than what he provided for us in the first 5 wins. It was going to be tough staying out of foul trouble on Touje but Dunn provided more bulk than our other defenders. Hope the injury(ies) will not keep him out all season
