It's really an arms race and Pitt is Luxemburg in comparison.

They really need to fix the lack a parity that is coming. There should be a cap on how much players can be paid and all endorsements need to be legitimate. Not sure how they can do it, but it works for the NFL. Else, just separate out he team from the colleges.

Glad we didn't schedule them. Would probably need to go 19-1 in ACC to make up for the drag on our SOS.

My two cents, FWIW: the committee will figure a way to arrange the top 4 seeds to include one potential semifinal of Nebraska v PSU and Pitt vs UL. It won't matter if we are 1, 2, or 3. We will be matched vs Louisville. It will "guarantee" a B1G vs ACC final if all things go as seeded

They had a list of top games for the week on ESPN the other day (that included our game with Ohio State on Friday) and there were a lot of really, really good games on the list.

Well if you want to say that there is no team that is so bad that they are miles below everyone else, then yeah, sure.

But that's completely different than saying "significantly, and I mean significantly better at the bottom of the league, as compared to last season. Better in the middle. Top is about the same." Because if by "bottom of the league" you mean only one team, then that's kind of meaningless. But if you do mean it that way, then is the middle better because the one team exactly in the middle of the league is better than last year, and the top is the same because the best team in the league is similar to the best team in the league was last year? That would be pretty a really odd way to compare the overall strength of the conference.

Also note, at this point last year Louisville's Pomeroy ranking was not in the 200s. It was in the 150s. In fact when they played New Mexico State exactly one year ago today they were at 151. Which isn't all that different than Virginia Tech's 128. They did, however, get into the 200s by the middle of December.
