Pitt’s new on campus football stadium

Look at North Dakota State’s Stadium.
It is very similar to the Fitzgerald Field House. Pitt needs to taker Heather’s disastrous Victory Blight project and wrap it into an indoor football facility where 30-40 thousand Pitt fans would be a huge home field advantage. Make all the other non - profit teams apart of the expansion and build it into the Peterson’s Event Center!

Makes too much sense.

OT WPIAL Playoffs

I see Pitt commit Shep Turk and Thomas Jefferson knocked off Aliquippa last night 38-21 in the WPIAL 4A semifinals. They'll take on McKeesport in the 4A title game. TJ is 12-0 and I think Turk has played very well this season. I know he isn't ranked all that high or had a ton of offers, but I think he could have a promising career at Pitt.

Predictions for UVA

Well.....Pitt took their first loss of the season, but they still have alot of opportunities infront of them despite that loss. They are #18 in the CFP rankings and still have a shot at the playoffs.

Pitt is currently a 7.5 pt favorite over UVA right now. While UVA has played solid at times, I think they are walking into a buzz saw this weekend.

I have kept saying I think Pitt's offense will bounce back (or play well) for three weeks now and it hasn't happened, but I do think the offesne plays well. I think this is the week they finally make some adjustments that lead to some success and I think they actively try to run the ball a little more and it shows. I think Dez has a huge game, and Eli plays very well, as does Mumpfield.

I believe the D bounces back in a big way, I don't think they are happy at all with what happened against SMU and that shows. I think they get about sacks, force two TOs, knock Colandrea around and keep the run game in check. The defense will resemble more of the Cal/Cuse D than what we saw against SMU.

So with all that, Pitt wins and somewhat comfortably by the 4th quarter. I say Pitt 33 UVA 20

Food for Thought RE: Playoffs

I was curious and looked up last year's CFP rankings that determined the field of 4, and the lowest ranked 1-loss team was Ohio State at No. 7. Several 2-loss teams were in the top 12. And the rest below that had 3-4 losses (outside of Liberty and SMU, who played in lower-tier conferences at the time).

Just an example of how there's likely going to be a ton of shuffling around in the final month of the season. As long as Pitt can win each week, we should be in a really solid position.

It will be incredibly hard to go 4-0 in these final four games, and I'll be pretty stunned if we can pull it off, but if we do it's very hard to imagine we'll get left out. Because there just aren't likely to be many other 0-loss or 1-loss teams in the country vying for these same playoff spots.
