Too much reliance on the 3 ball?

The L'ville game was the first time this year ( and maybe the first time in years) that a whopping 60% of our total shots came from beyond the arc. Fortunately we hit a great 41% of them but that is a rare nite as we shoot 34% on the season which ranks us 144 nationally or right in the middle of the pack for accuracy. But in terms of 3P attempts , they make up 44% of our total shots which ranks us 34th nationally. Thus, we rely on the 3 more than the vast majority of teams but in terms of accuracy we are just average. This suggests that the numbers may catch up with us down the road and it would be great if we could generate some additional points in the paint.

OSU offering $4 million to Stroud to stay

He'll make more in the NFL obviously but guys have stayed in school for $0 at times. For $4 million, to be a college kid one more year, I think you're going to see more of this. Maybe not Stroud necessarily but for some of these guys who love the college life and college football and who are going to be set for life anyway, you can make the argument that its hard to put a price on that extra year of college football playing with your boys. Wouldn't suprise me if he stays.

At #80, RJ Greer. Son of Ricardo Greer, ex Panther.

Isn't there a big at Montour or someone like that from Africa who is 6'9"??

OOC schedule

No reason we shouldn’t be 3-0 heading to Notre Dame. I mean playing Witford is a guaranteed win. Cincinnati at home with Fickell leaving and taking a players to Wisconsin should be a easy win. Bottom feeder in WVU easy win even though it’s a rivalry game. Notre Dame should be a coin flip. Everyon complained about how hard our OOC schedule is but all the sudden with Fickell leaving it looks very easy

WR thoughts....

I know this has been talked about and we all feel we need more players. However, Chris mentioned in one of the Morning Pitt videos that the coaches don't seem super worried about anything. I have 2 theories.....

1) They think very very highly of at least 2 of the Freshman coming in. The coaches have mentioned before that they knew Addison was going to be special before he even got here. I am thinking they feel that way about one of the young guys. Or along those same lines, they think either Alston, Copeland, or Che are going to be game changers.

2) They have something else working up their sleeves. Now I not the faintest clue what that would be but they must have a plan. I feel the coaches have earned the benefit of the doubt. So I will trust them.

We have NEVER EVER won in the Yum Center. MUST WIN!!

Trust me, I’ve been to every single Pitt basketball game at The Yum and we have never left with a win. This cannot be the case on Weds night. UL is horrible. A Pitt weds night game will have a soft crowd compared to the insanity we faced with Pitino and a good cardinal team. Can this be the team and the year that we finally get the monkey off our backs??? We must if we’re going to continue this run. Hope to see some Pitt fans there. I’ll have the Hamlin jersey and the blue Afro on behind the Pitt bench. Hail to Pitt!!!

Major NCAA Rule Change that Helps Pitt Baseball

The volunteer position is being turned into a full time paid assistant role with no recruiting restrictions for baseball/softball and other sports that have it. Starts July 1.

This is huge for Pitt baseball. Our volunteer is former MLB All Star Devin Mesoraco. Having him be a full time assistant who can fully recruit will be a massive win for us
