    I just heard that PSU paid a wrestler $400k to return. Wrestling is the 2nd sport at PSU so there is no way their hoops program is paying anyone more than $150k.

    I will have to read the article, and I have no doubt he expected to be a much bigger contributor, but he did play on a team that was a National Championship contender the last 2 seasons. I’m sure with the way Painter brings quality players and people into that program there are other really good...

    Pickett's decision

    Ben had Hines Ward, Plaxico, Bettis, a good OL and a defense with studs including a 2nd year Polamalu who hadn’t even emerged yet. The Steelers had a bad 5-11 year in 2003, but before that they won 14 games in 2001 and made the playoffs in 2002. Ben stepped into a golden situation.

    Burrow is the best example of this. His first year, before they drafted Chase, they were terrible and he was running for his life, but he made plays and showed flashes of being an elite QB before he was hurt. I love KP, but he never flashed at all.

    Really? He’s been one of the elite rebounders in college basketball and a double-double machine in the ACC. Look at his stats. He’s averaged a double-double four years in a row. Granted, 2 of those years were at Arkansas State, but his numbers actually improved when he transferred up to Miami.

    If Means is a 3rd round caliber receiver, shouldn’t he have separated himself as the go-to receiver — bad QB play or not? He’s good enough to be in a camp, but a 3rd rounder?
