    Friday NCAAT thread

Danny Sprinkle should be a very easy choice for Coach of the Year, I mean how many guys have had this much success returning no players that scored a single point from the year before. Unfortunately in this era you will probably see more of that moving forward.

They got Kansas to play at their tempo, just couldn’t quite finish it off.

The only one I remember you really touting other than UConn was Creighton, hope you do have a wager on them.

    Kentucky

Hey you and I still have our Creighton positions alive. They are one of those teams that can literally beat (or lose to) any team in the field on a given night. When they are clicking on the offensive end they’re almost impossible to beat, I need them to win a couple more in order to be able to...

    Kentucky

I only know because I focus on a couple conferences each year for wagering purposes and the Horizon was one of them this season. At some point later in the season guys would run at him as soon as he got the ball and a simple shot fake would’ve got him uncontested layups, but he kept chucking the...

    Kentucky

I became a Greg Kampe fan in 2001 when they played in a holiday tournament at Robert Morris. Guy was so animated with his big hair and gestures it was fun to watch. I cant believe he’d already been there so long and is still there now. Good for him. For those who haven’t watched Oakland much...

    1 Seeds or Field?

What a set up for them. Samford plays at such a frenetic pace and they get a depleted team that had somewhat of a short bench anyway. If Samford can get some shots to fall early they can be dangerous.

    1 Seeds or Field?

Ask and ye shall receive, courtesy of Circa LV: UConn +390 Houston +330 UNC +130 Purdue +290 I don’t think it’s much of a surprise that North Carolina is a pretty heavy favorite to be the first #1 seed to lose.

    UVa 52 CSU 48

Unlike many on here I think SMF brings up some good points from time to time, but not so much with his gambling related takes. They are almost universally factually incorrect in some way.

    NIT idea

If you give the NIT champ an auto bid for next years NCAA tournament shouldn’t the team that actually wins the NCAA tourney get an auto bid for the following season as well?

FAU is out with a loss here I think

Besides the wins over Arizona and Texas A&M they beat a lot of solid teams in the non conference schedule. FAU also beat: Loyola Chicago Butler Va Tech College of Charleston St Bonaventure Maybe not murderers row but that’s a lot of good wins and they will be rewarded for that.

    Saturday Night Bubble Anaylsis (update)

Maybe I’m remembering this wrong but didn’t St Mary’s do something similar to that a few years ago?

Why did Capel discontinue City game

I’m not disagreeing with your original premise, all 3 of those teams should be playing each other every season.

FAU is out with a loss here I think

The FAU result is the biggest blow to Pitt’s chances so far by a long shot. New Mexico may have snuck in anyway, but Pitt really, really needed FAU, UNC, and Colorado to win.

Why did Capel discontinue City game

Times have changed though, those two teams haven’t met in quite a while and RMU’s program has pretty much gone into the toilet since then. The move to the Horizon is part of that to be sure, but they weren’t doing very well their last few years in the NEC either.

    Not very good at all.

Why did Capel discontinue City game

Almost as amazing as Duquesne’s NCAA-less streak is the fact this is the first time they’ve won at least 23 games since 1953. Granted teams didn’t play as many games back then but it is still incredible that it’s been 70 years.

Why did Capel discontinue City game

No doubt those were good Duquesne teams. I guess my point is the old Duquesne was great Pitt was horrible dialogue from back then is a little overblown. Pitt was lousy between 1964-69, but other than that was a mediocre to good team in the times before and after those years.
