    As a Pittsburgh native and sports fan — I think the city game is a nice way to get people excited about basketball, which is definitely the lowest sport on the totem pole here. It helps Duquesne get exposure too. However as a Pitt fan and alumni — I couldn’t care less if we play them or not.

    How can any rankings change right now?? There’s not even any basketball being played at any level smh. I’ll take it though — maybe it’ll scare blue bloods away. Love this kid though — Pitt won’t skip a beat when X leaves (not to take away anything from X, who is an exceptional talent)

    I lot of people are really worried about having a backup PG in case X gets hurt, but the reality is that if he gets hurt then the season is over. Femi will spell him and it’ll be fine

    Toney will for sure be the clear starter at that position and will get around 30 minutes per game. My guess is that TB gets a chance to be the “starter” but will probably get similar minutes to Hugley

    Yeah I think everyone is in agreement about that — I just feel like it’s probably not going to happen (for a couple reasons that have already been talked about), and I just hope that people don’t blame Capel if he can’t fill that spot.

    I seriously doubt that he’d leave that last spot open “just because”. It’s possible that Capel hasn’t or can’t find a grad transfer guard to accept that role. And he likely won’t. And even if he did find someone — our season is over if X gets hurt anyway.

    My guess is that TB is just comfortable at Pitt and doesn’t wanna leave for his final season. I don’t think he’s graduated yet either, so he’d have to sit out a year. Maybe he just isn’t interested in being a star on a bad team.

    I don’t think anyone is suggesting that we should expect or will be able to get an elite PG for depth — just an N’Dir level player. And I don’t think that’s unreasonable

    Well one scholarship is being reserved for Jeffress and we’re looking to add a shooter (almost certainly via transfer). I don’t think adding another big is anywhere on the radar for this class

    My guess is that Schifino would reclassify to 2021 if X leaves after this upcoming season, so Pitt will be very solid at PG for at least a couple years
