12 year old running back

Is this real?
lol, my question too. i dont know if this is a joke, a parody or something or what.

i actually feel bad for this kid if it's real. he's like Robin Wiliams in the movie Jack. i mean, yeah he's good at sports and all but there is something going on here like a deformity or something.

Is this real?

I thought the same thing but national outlets are picking it up. Playing as over-age players is rampant in youth sports. Most of these types of tournaments literally dont even check birth certificates. We could enter a Pantherlair team in some 12U Baseball Tournament. No one is going to check.

I'm in. I'm a catcher.
Who can pitch?

I read that all the kids on his team had henna tattoos of their team logo put on them, the kind that washes off. And I did know a kid that had a full beard in 9th grade, when he showed up, I thought he'd been left behind a couple years, but no, he was legit 9th grade.

One question I do have, I read he was 190 pounds? Don't the kid's leagues have weight limits anymore? I got screwed out of my last year of Pop Warner for not being able to get below 135 and I was playing OT.

Even without the henna tattoo, the kid could easily pass for 35. Like if I put a Jets uniform on him and said he was a 35 year old WR, nobody would say "no way, man he looks 19." That kid is the oldest looking 12 year old in US history. Yea, you see some old looking kids at the LLWS, some have slight facial hair coming in but those kids MAYBE look like early HS/16 year olds if that. This kid looks like he is nearing NFL retirement.

As for the weight limits, the leagues around here dont allow bigger kids to carry the ball. This league/tournament appears to be one of those "no rules" travel tournaments where anything goes. I haven't experienced one of those in football but in other sports, especially baseball, you can show up with kids 4 years older and they wont say anything other than moms of the other team's complaining. They are for-profit tournaments with no oversight.

I personally had a team in a soccer tournament and we played an over-age team of kids I knew and I told the "director" (some 24 year old kid who didnt care) and even after we verified they were too old, he was like "they already paid, its too late." So they went on to win the championship in a division they were too old to be in.

again, this is not just a kid with peach fuzz as a mustache. this kid legit has a demormity, or some syndrome or something. this is quite sad..

I would agree he has some type of developmental syndrome, which may cause him severe issues later in life if not sooner. Hope I'm wrong but I remember my nephew (who looks younger than his age) had to go to the doctors because his armpits were smelling at like age 8 or 9 and that was some terrible sign for debilitating disorders. If you look 35 when you're 12, I would hope the family is seeking medical care.

He looks a little younger in this tik tok video (like only 25-28, not 35) but this dude is a complete grown man at 12 and that aint healthy. It also begs the question as to whether or not he should be playing football against 70 pound kids.

I always thought instead of maximum weight, they should have minimums, like you have to weigh at least 100 pounds. They had that weight at 135 (with pads) and you're in 6th grade or 7th grade and they tell you you're too big, go play with the 9th grade team when you're not really ready for that level, so lots of heavier kids don't play, you'd think they'd rather develop the bigger kids? In the end I made the high school team, but losing the years of experience hurt, while they were "developing" the 85-pound kid who never made it to the HS team anyways. It kind of sucked not being able to play-being discriminated against because of your size, like Lizzo.

They can play. They just have to play OL which makes sense because if you are super fat at age 9 or 10, playing RB or QB (or soccer 😉) probably isnt in your future. Its OL or 1B for you.

Maybe that's now. I have no experience with youth football since the 70s, back then EVERYONE had to be under 135 in pads, at least where I lived.

Even at that, I wasn't "super fat" I was taller than average, so 150 pounds wasn't a lot for my frame, if I was 135 in pads I would of looked like Manute Bol
