And incredibly, Clemson shot better than their season 3P% in all 13 games. That's hard to do.

The way they shoot the 3 against us is absurd. Every year, its in the 1st Half. They make like 8 out of 10 in the 1st Half and build a big lead.

This has to be our longest losing streak to anyone.

Unless I missed something, it is tied for the longest. The hoopies beat us 13 times in a row from 1957 - 1963. Then after we beat them twice in a row they beat us another nine.

There are a couple of 12s that I found, but 13 looks like the worst.

This is so ridiculous considering Clemson isnt some juggernaut. They've only been an NCAAT a few times in this stretch. Honestly, I dont think we will ever beat them as long as Brownell is coaching there. He's too good and his style of 3's and bully ball is always a bad matchup.

So Clemson is our longest conference losing steak.

First time I’ve heard Brownell referred to as a good basketball coach. He was a miracle ncaat bid and run from being fired

They lost something like 10-12 straight against NC State but now have a 4 game winning streak against them. But yeah I don’t know about this Clemson thing, it’s just odd and frustrating.

Brownell is a borderline excellent coach. His issue is he cant recruit. Clemson isnt an easy place to get players.

Why isn't it an easy place to get players? Good climate, proximity to Atlanta and Greenville, good looking girls, golf. Brownell is a very good coach, certainly one of the top ones in the ACC. So why wouldn't a kid want to go there? Unless they don't pay enough.

Rural football schools dont typically attract good basketball players

The other long streaks that I saw were we lost 12 in a row to Louisville from 2011 - 2018 and 12 in a row against NC State from 2014 - 2021, 11 in a row to the nitters from 1964 - 1969 and 10 in a row to them from 1917 - 1922, 10 in a row to Syracuse from 1992 - 1996 (and then after a win in 1997 we lost another 7 in a row to them through 2001).

Wish they played Penn St more in the 2000’s/early 2010’s so they could’ve given them a nice losing streak like that too.

Our longest winning streak against them is 9, from 1928 - 1932. That was part of a stretch where we beat them 16 out of 18.

But yeah, we could have really piled up a long streak on them in the 00s if they hadn't seen how the series was going and decided that they didn't want to play us any more. Five wins in a row from 2001 - 2005 by 30, 22, 27, 13 and 37. No wonder they didn't want to play any more.

I remember being at one of those games at State College, and the nitters ran out to a chorus of boos. Pitt fans definitely took over the BJC.
