13th time in 15 years

This is a thread of pure delusion. Kinda like the PSU BWI board. Recruits don't care if you go to the NCAA Tourney....68 teams make it. If they lose, Dixon's head should be on the chopping block. Dixon just doesn't win in March. It's not in his DNA

WTF? Recruits don't care if you make the Tourney?

Ok...didn't know they all flock to the Vegas 16 now.

And if you think his head will be on the chopping block your head is full of delusion if for no other reason than the 7 years remaining on his contract.

Definitely a tumultuous year in some respects but Jamie got the Panthers in the field. Those of us who lived through the Willard years would have died for a 20-11 record and 10 seed back then. Perspective!

Unlike last year, kept the wheels from totally falling off. Inched forward.

lol...They added yet another Tourney.

At least it keeps some people's seasons going.

Sadly I will be in attendance. Excellent wagering opportunities if you can gauge a teams motivation, and I just flat out enjoy attending college basketball games.

I thought I was the only one who knew about the Vegas 16

Nah, some of us are just as into this as you.

It will be interesting to see who they get. I'd think that going to Vegas for potentially a week would be more attractive to most teams than the CBI, playing in front of small crowds at home arenas. Vegas will still have the small crowds, but it's Vegas. So it's got that going for itself, which is nice.

Haven't seen anything yet, maybe tomorrow. I know BYU fans flock here in droves, wouldn't be surprised to see them here. Stanford has been mentioned as well.

Tournament attendance here runs the gamut from horrible to standing room only. The WCC at the Orleans and the PAC at the MGM are literally jammed. With UNLV down MWC attendance at the Thomas and Mack is slightly down, and the WAC is lucky to draw 2k at the Orleans. Next year the PAC will be relocating to the new 20k hockey arena, and they seem confident that will be a hard ticket to get.

Attendance matters little to me. A couple years ago St Mary's and Mississippi St had a hastily scheduled game at the Orleans after both teams had played in Hawaii. Me and maybe 500 other diehards paid $10 to watch two good teams play. It was right after the Renardo Sidney incident with his teammate, and you could see by their body language that they had absolutely no interesting playing basketball.

Silly. Pay attention.
