Player and fan frustration with Capel is only expanding. Capel could lose this team before conference play. I sympathize with these players. Capel is incompetent and his charade is up.

Does Capel even know how to coach defense? This is pathetic! I never thought I'd say this, but this coach is actually worse than Stallings, and that is scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
If we can get to a total wins this season of 8, I'll be surprised. What's Capel going to do when his team has to face a real team from the ACC? Get beat by 30, that's what he'll do.

This Pitt basketball program gives me heartburn. And it's not worth it. They can't play defense, can't score, are so poorly coached it's as if they don't have a coach, and the culture seems toxic.
And the train wreck rolls on. This is all time bad. Capel should really just resign at this point.

Again, you guys are over analyzing his ability as a “coach”. He had no problem beating Duke just 10 months ago. He might not be great, but he can coach.

The wins that Pitt has had since Capel got here are in spite of him, not because of him.
would you say we're 10 pts less talented than UMBC? Because I don't think we are. Open 3 after open 3 is bad coaching. Uncontested drives to the hoop is bad coaching. His team is checked out and I understand he doesn't have a ton of talent, but there's no excuse for not posting up you 6'5" PG on their 5' PG. There's no reason for not trying to get mismatches on that kid all game.
You probably have a point there. But the vast majority of our losses this year will be because of talent, including a lot of these nonconference losses.
And even a great coaching job probably just means a closer game today. Maybe we eek it out, but the ongoing problem is talent
