1)At the concession stands they finally let us keep the cap on the bottled water!! Yeah!!! For a few years the employees would open the water in front of you and keep the cap. They said it was because people were throwing it. That was a bizarre decision which I have never seen anywhere else in any other venue.

2)What happened to that "rocket" launcher that a few of the cheerleaders used to shoot the t-shirts into the crowd?? That's how I got one a couple of years ago. Now they just throw them and usually not very far.

They used to do that at Heinz also regarding he bottle water...........stopped it a few years ago.
They said it was because it was easier to throw the WHOLE bottle with the cap on, not just the cap.

Rocket Launcher was forced in to retirement by the nanny state that regulates that t-shirts can only be shot with an exit velocity of 12 mph and must be bubble-wrapped.

Well, if the nanny state hadn't done it by regulation--given our litigious society--the "'slip and fall" "ambulance chasers" sleezy segment of the legal profession would have eventually produced the same result.

I keep a spare cap in my pocket for those times when the Nanny Staters remove them. Hate to risk spilling a $4 bottle of pop.

Roc has used the "launcher" at most of the games this season. I wasn't paying attention enough to it last night to see that he didn't, but if not that might have been the first time all season.
