It was mentioned by Mel Kiper after Ramczyk was drafted by New Orleans at No. 32 that he was recruited out of HS by Paul Chryst at Pitt and that Pitt was his only real offer. After Chryst left, he attended a local technical college for a year and then went to D-III before transferring to the Badgers. Chryst will never win the recruiting rankings, but he does have a good eye for undervalued talent.
