Jaymar Parrish- #11 FB in the Draft

-The Pitt Panthers, a team that is getting zero hype in 2016. All over the NFL prelim draft board in the run game. Our run game is going to plow teams this year. Im still looking for the Penn State players.

I like Conner but, even if he's healthy I have a hard time believing he would be picked before Mccaffrey, Cook, Fournette and Chubb. As of right now Penn State would be lucky to have anyone picked before the 4th round next year.

-The NFL likes Touchdowns in the Redzone.

The other guys score touchdowns too and fit what most NFL teams schemes. I would say Conner is a slower version of Derrick Henry and he was 2nd round pick in a weak RB draft. Experts are calling next year draft one of the best ever for RB's.

-I just posted cbs's link for the 2017 NFL draft that has Conner #2 overall and you didnt like it. Lets try this one.

-James Conner- #2 RB in the 2017 NFL draft. 2 prelim draft links, both have Conner #2 RB off the board, with cancer in his body.

-Stop listening to Pittsburgh sports media that think they know talent, because they dont.

That list has no underclass men RB's. Check out Walter Camp's list. Conner is ranked #11. You obviously don't know much about football if you're taking that site you posted as gospel.

-I posted 2 sites.

-And to be honest I dont care where he is drafted. Because he will 100% make it in the NFL over all these other draft busts at running back.

If Conner runs like he did in 2014 why wouldn't he go ahead of those guys.

NFL teams like versatility and those guys I have ahead of him have speed, quickness and receiving ability. This is just my opinion and I could be wrong. You don't see too many big power backs being drafted high anymore. Every back I listed will be a preseason heisman candidate. Conner just happens to be coming out in a deep talented RB draft next year.

-He will, without question. And the perfect comparison is Le'veon Bell who used to weight 255lb and run a 4.75 40. Steeler fans were up in arms because of his lack of speed, but I told them he was a power run back that could break tackles and rack up yards and run over defenders. People don't understand the NFL game and what true power gives you. Mike Tomlin got it. If James Conner is still on the board late 3rd round, the Steelers will be all over him.

Le'Veon Bell

6'1, 230lb, 4.6 40 time

-Perfect comparison to James Conner. And James Conner before last years camp broke 4.5 on the 40. These little speed backs like Reggie Bush are garbage in the NFL. People dont get it.

If he can prove he can catch and pass protect well, he's as good as anyone. He didn't have a chance to do it last year after the injury. It'll be interesting to see how they use him this year.

-Obviously. A lot of these teams are so focused on finding the next Marshall Faulk which is a 1 out of 10 year player at best, they forget a player that can run over defenders and get you touchdowns in the redzone is extremely valuable. Titans may have got the steal of the draft with Derrick Henry. At least Henry didnt drop to New England. These powerhouse ATM players, meaning automatic touchdown machines, are pretty rare. Which makes Conner very valuable just like Bell.

Bell lost a ton of weight because he knew he had to get quicker in the NFL. Bell's game is more comparable to McCoy than he is to Conner. I'm absolutely not saying he won't be successful in the NFL. I just think he will slide in the draft because of the reasons I stated above.

I would take George Aston every day of the week as a FB in the NFL over Jaymar. Aston took his job.

i'm surprised that with a comment as succinct and dead on as this....both with the factual aspect that the list has no underclassmen....as well as the evidence suggesting Steel doesnt know much.........

that you havent received 1 like after 550+ posts......

Please accept my icebreaker for an excellent post.

Jaymar did one hell of a job as JC's lead blocker in 2014. He was instrumental in jc posting big numbers.

He won't be drafted though. I also don't think DJ or Biz will be drafted in top 2 rounds. So again we really won't have any top NFL talent that has experience except may JC.

You could also see that on WalterCamp.com which has been doing mock drafts forever, that DJ is number 10 guard and Biz is number 11 OT. Both projected between rounds 4-6. And JC was number 10 ranked running back with a round 3-5 grade.

Everytime you post, you lose more credibility.

Pitt is starting to improve their talent base, but you are misguided if you think our team is loaded with talent. May I remind you of the DW to Todd Graham fiasco that ruined 2 classes, and then the transition from PC to Narduzzi. PC and PN each landed a good class, but there was a lot of upheaval in between.

Talent is here but too young. And talent is mostly on defense, specifically in the DB backfield. But we are not near loaded with talent.

-the guy has Cancer. James Conner has Cancer. Let them update it when he doesnt have Cancer anymore. If you read the other 2 sites both mention he is on the verge of Cancer. Show me a link on WC's page that talks about beating Cancer and James Conner. Show me one.

I am doing family time now. Google it. I know you have plenty of time.

And this is a perfect example of why your constant Staning for Conner is pathetic and misguided. Who cares what he did two years ago. He's coming back from a knee injury and in the middle of chemo. I find it profoundly uncomfortable to constantly push all these expectations on a guy that hasn't played in forever.

As I've said to you before, pump the breaks dude.

-Pump the breaks on what? Conner is 1 treatment away from beating Cancer and playing. 1. The knee injury isnt even serious, it was a slight tear, not a blown out leg. That is a massive difference. If you dont understand that I cant help you. Although considering you think Randy Moss is a better player than Larry Fitzgerald, that is all that needs to be said.

Hmmm ……The #4 OT may be a 1st round pick! Nice topic and hadn’t seen this
No. Steel used a site that didn't include juniors to be. Walter Camp ranks none of our players in the top 10 for their position for the 2017 draft. Don't trust anything Steel posts.

-so walter camp is now the be all end all for draft prospects? You want me to rip that website apart for the last 15 years of draft analysis? Ready when you are.

Your site didn't have junior prospects. Where was Chubb, Fournette, Mcaffery, or Dalvin Cook?

Corey Clement was rated number one running back ahead of JC. Corey Clement is not the best running back in college football next year:)

Do you really think Connor and Biz are 1st round picks and DJ is an early 2nd round pick next year?
