Alabama was #8 last week. This week they stayed at home to face 3-3 Tennessee. Tennessee nearly wins it, so Alabama moves up to #7 and gains a 1st place vote. If you think Bama is the best 1-loss team, over ND and Florida, fine. But to give them a #1 vote over Clemson or LSU is insane.

What a horrible message sent to Penn State at 6-2, not one vote in any Polls? Some Teams at 4-3 got votes but not Penn State? Looks like their Schedule has really hurt them in the Standings! Just pure disrespecting of Franklin as a coach running a Top Program beating dregs! Gives a whole new meaning to Paper Lions!

UNC disrespected.

UNC is not that disrespected compared to Pitt. Pitt is barely ranked. UNC is barely not ranked. #23 Pitt got 161 points. #27 UNC got 46 points. We're 115 points apart. How small is 115 points?

#13 Utah (838 pts) and #14 Oklahoma (697 pts) are further apart.
#17 FSU (571 pts) and #18 Houston (411 pts) are further apart.
#7 Alabama (1163 pts) and #8 MSU (1062) are almost as far apart.
#16 Memphis (660 pts) and #17 FSU (571 pts) are almost as far apart.
#22 Duke (274 pts) and #23 Pitt (161 pts) are almost exactly as far apart.

I get it, we're ranked and they're not, but the difference between us in the perception of the pollsters is almost non-existent.

PittPitt has the right logic and information but Rpost3 has the right emotional issues that Fedora will use to trap Pitt, also they will bring about who can win the coastal and go to a better bowl? I don't care either way, it is is going to be a tough game and tougher to predict.

Pitt being ranked is making Iowa look better, and as long as they both keep winning they both look good, and will both be respected when the season is over. Go Hawks, go Pitt.

Penn State beat Maryland 31-30 and are now 6-2, but many suspect they will lose next 3 of 4 to finish season at 7-5. Fwiw

Even though we are higher ranked, and even though we are playing at home.

Hopefully that's what Narduzz is telling our players -- NO RESPECT

I don't see why the love for unc based on their play thus far. Not saying it's an easy game, it isn't... We still don't have James Conner, if we did I would say we win... But they have played no one and seem injured a bit too

I think our higher rank has more to do with our LOSS than our wins.

Losing to a top 10 team (now), on a last second 57 yard FG, at THEIR field, is looking pretty good. Better than a loss to South Carolina, which is having a down year.

Otherwise, Pitt and UNC look pretty similar.

And to be fair, there aren't many votes separating us in the poll -- Its very close
