That's the record of the teams that beat us. One of those losses is on the road at the #1 team. The other loss is in the first game of the season.

If Pitt can somehow win the next 3, this could go down as the best Pitt regular season in 30+ years.

I'd say we have to win the bowl too to surpass the '09 team. First 10 win season in a long, long time is no joke. 10 wins and this will be the best season in a long time. 9 wins and a bowl loss though don't get me wrong, still a lot of reasons to celebrate. Year 1 with basically no JC, that would be incredibly impressive.

Conversely, the records of the teams Pitt beat is 7-15 ( against bcs schools), so Pitt has largely beat up on week teams. I left out akron and ysu.

The record of the next three opponents is 11-10, so we'll have a much more accurate idea of how this team has progressed real soon.

Not saying you make a bad point or anything, but IMO records of opponents are incredibly inaccurate in assessing a team. Look at Penn State's opponent's records, something they gloat about thinking these teams are even half-decent when they're nowhere close. Aside from the really good opponents, the other teams either play better teams and lose and end up with a bad record. Or they play a garbage schedule themselves and their record does not show how bad they are.

That's why I left out wins against mid-majors and I-AA schools.
Yeah I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying just because our opponents record's are 7-15, does not mean they are just god awful football teams. Just like the teams Penn State beat having semi-respectable records does not hide the fact they were all absolute garbage football teams.

Yea, this has been a very Penn State-esque season for Pitt (beat all the bad teams, lose to all the good teams). The good news is that we have no WTF losses. These last 3 games are big because Duke and Louisvile have similar talent. Miami has much more talent but are undisciplined and poorly coached.

Miami always has and always will be undisciplined, even when they were great. As for coaching, Al Golden was terrible. The interim might not be a great head coach or ever have another head coaching job, but he's already doing a much, much better job of coaching that team than Golden ever did at Miami.

Duke 6-3
Louisville 5-4
Miami 6-3

Overall 17-10

Johnny, as I posted earlier, I left out wins against non bcs teams. Felt that would be more accurate.
