So Chris, that portion of your column related to the OC search touched on the exchange you and I had earlier this week on Narduzzi's philosophy on FB style in general and offensive FB in particular and as you said in the column, that philosophy can be summarized as: win with defense and play ball control offense.
Win with defense? Once again my only reaction is that after his experiences the last 4 years and the style of play in the ACC, shouldn't Narduzzi be prepared to modify that philosophy, even if only slightly. The idea that Narduzzi is going to produce shutdown defenses in ACC play and win low scoring games seems pretty far fetched....just look at the scores of the ACC games Pitt has won the last 4 years....there were very few low scoring affairs....most were shootouts that went down to the wire. Bottom line is that good coaches adapt based on their experience and if Narduzzi wants to succeed he better do some personal reflection on his FB philosophy and its relevance in 2019.
