3 Dixon tweets in one day???

The other 2 were about the O'Bannon lawsuit settlement. Would be nice for a tweet about the current team.

I remember a quote from barnes saying he wants his coaches to be active on social media. I imagine Dixon got an email today reminding him of their conversation, so he stressed all yesterday trying to figure out what to tweet.

I suspect that the tweets weren't Dixon's. At least I can say that at least some (most? all?) of the "Dixon's" past tweets were not done by him.

I am real excited about this post. Our fans can bash Dixon about his social skills for a while instead of his coaching and recruiting ability.

I don't think twitter has much to do one way or another with what currently ails the program.

Also, I dont think Twitter is as much of a recruiting/hype machine tool in college basketball as it is in college football. Propoganda plays a huge part in college football recruiting. Not so much in college basketball. You meet the players at the meat markets, do an in-home, and on-campus, and that's that. The player either likes you or he doesn't. College football recruiting is a circus.

Yup. Very few coaches seem to be active on twitter for hoops. Definitely more of a football thing.

So what?

First, the good recruiters do use it.

Second, if other people didn't use deodorant would you?

It's not that in football either.

Otherwise, we'd be destroying recruiting in football.

If Barnes indeed directed his coaches to use social media, then he's just lost some credibility with me. I doubt he mandated his coaches to do this because he'd be an idiot to do so. That's just micro-managing and it always backfires.
