His free throw shooting could really help late in games. Hugley is impressive from the charity stripe for a big man. It seemed early in the season that free throw shooting was a real weakness. Not now.
Depends on who’s shooting them. Still very problematic for some. But yes, Burton has been excellent. Hugley PDG for the most part. Femi? 😏His free throw shooting could really help late in games. Midrange is his game. It makes sense for him. 15 footer is high percentage seemingly for himHe is averaging almost 16 points per game his last 10 games. ORTG offensive power rating over 100+ in 8 of the last 10 games and a sizzling 120+ ORTG the last 4 straight games. Besides his slow start since coming back from the injury early on in the season, he has played really, really well the last 10 games. Points, assists, rebounds, steals, defense we are getting production from him in all facets of the game.
If he returns next year, he is going to be a big time player. Great leader on the floor too.
Oh, and it should also be noted too that he is repeatedly killing these teams from the midrange game.

Heading into today's game he was shooting 36.5% on two point jump shots.
He is shooting 44% from the midrange the last 10 games straight.
Burton had to dust off rust early. And we all understand that making 44% on two pointers isn't actually anything special, right?
I mean a guy shooting 30% on threes is being more productive, and a 30% three point shooter would stink.

It helps open up the offense as a whole which is why it is important. More importantly, Burton thrives at it.
Burton started off the season slow coming off the injury. He did sit 5 weeks or so with the injury he had, obviously there was going to be some rust when he first started off.
We do, he is waiting for the cop to show at his rescheduled hearing.I agree that he is certainly playing better lately.
That doesn't change the fact that 44% on two pointers really isn't anything special. It doesn't change the fact that if we had a guard who could make even 35% of his threes that would be more valuable and would help open up the offense even more.
