Definitely will get votes. Should be on bubble watch now. Get to 5/0 and were cookingCapel deserves some credit.
4 wins against good teams.
Do they get close to being ranked ? Dare I say ?
Damn that sounds niceIf they beat Clemson theyll be ranked for the Duke game

The moving screen call on the gate screen they called with 2 mins ish left where Mcneely most likely cans the 3 was the turning point. Thought it was iffy (he was moving, but they rarely call those). Nice to get one our way.4 really nice wins. I'm not sold on the quality of opponents. UVA is WAY overrated at 11. Wahoos are the exact same team they were last year. Vander Plas and McKneely were brought in to knock down 3s, but they hadn't really panned out.
Experience played in UVA's favor in November. Lately, the lack of talent and ugly flaws have been rearing their ugly head and the Wahoos have been exposed.
May have been a makeup call for not calling the charge when the guy sent Burton flying and McNeely hit the game tying three. The moving screen call on the gate screen they called with 2 mins ish left where Mcneely most likely cans the 3 was the turning point. The refs were pretty good. Wasn’t saying they shouldn’t have called that. Few went their way and few went ours. I thought they were generally pretty solid.May have been a makeup call for not calling the charge when the guy sent Burton flying and McNeely hit the game tying three.
Because unfortunately perception is unc stinks and uva is just good. I think uva is def a top 20 team and it’s a big resume builder. Keep winning let rankings play themselves outHow can we not be ranked? 4-0 in ACC with back to back wins over #25 (former #1) and #11

He has a more complete team, but he’s also doing it without Dior, Jeffress, and HugelyDamn this is fun. This team has well defined roles and each guy understands them. Can we put the daggers back in there sheaths where Capel is concerned. He got these guys here and they are playing together. It is amazing how a coach can look when he has a complete team. Capel and this team are absolutely for real!
Man, you will do anything you can to downplay Pitt won't you.4 really nice wins. I'm not sold on the quality of opponents. UVA is WAY overrated at 11. Wahoos are the exact same team they were last year. Vander Plas and McKneely were brought in to knock down 3s, but they hadn't really panned out.

They owed us one. Not at all. I'm just stating the obvious - that UVA simply isn't that good. UVA needed a lucky bounce to beat Pitt last year, and this pretty much the exact same UVA team. It's literally the EXACT SAME starting 5 that Bennett rolled out in last year's Pitt game, and same as the one that lost to St. Bonaventure in the NIT Quarterfinals. The only real differences are that Vander Plas comes off the bench instead of Stattmann (probably a slight upgrade) and Shedrick gets the majority of the minutes at C, as Caffaro has been relegated to spot duty.Man, you will do anything you can to downplay Pitt won't you.

It's unrealistic to expect a lot of improvement in a team that is made of mostly 4th, 5th, and 6th year players. Everybody knows who these guys are and what they contribute at this point. It is what it is.
UVA is always tough to beat because of their style and their execution. This team will continue to improve as they get to know one another better. Not at all. That's a big reason why they are winning. Pitt would have lost to both UNC & UVA had Hugely played any significant time. They would also have an 11 game winning streak right now had the sat him vs Vanderbilt. He has a more complete team, but he’s also doing it without Dior, Jeffress, and Hugely
Sure, but my point was more that they would be even better if those 3 guys were playing and playing how we thought they could, assuming team chemistry stayed the same. That's a big reason why they are winning. Pitt would have lost to both UNC & UVA had Hugely played any significant time. They would also have an 11 game winning streak right now had the sat him vs Vanderbilt.
Yeah the legs thing may also come into play in the conference tournament. Makes it imperative this team stacks as many wins keeping them out of the early tournament games. Let’s not forget Burton’s chronic issues either.Tough to even say he has a complete team. It’s basically a 7 man rotation and 9 scholarship players
Missing Hugley, Dior, Jeffress. Twins not quite there yet and Santos has been odd man out. I think he played one possession tonight, gave up an offensive rebound and an and 1 and got yanked..
The cupboard is far from full. Great job but very concerned about tired legs setting in come February again.
