4-1 WBB vs 4-1 Northwestern

BTW, if anyone watched the game, the color commentator had to be some guy that just happened to be walking down the street right before tip time that they drug in to call the game, right?

Pitt missed 37 shots and rebounded 20 of them.

Total rebounds, Pitt 54, Northwestern 30

On the other hand, Pitt only had 3 turnovers in the 1st quarter, and then 20 more over the last three quarters.

This is absolutely amazing! I
put on the replay after I
saw that we won. This
without Harris and Everett.
We all knew they had a
lot of depth, but King and
the other younger players
really stepped up. Hayford,
who I criticized all last year
seemingly has settled and
actually runs the team as
a decent pg. Clesca also runs
the point as does Harris.

There are a lot of very good
athletes on this team, and they
now are starting to jell. NorthW.
is a good team, but we beat
them up and down the court.
We also (surprisingly to me)
are running good offensive sets.

This team can play and at times
play very well. I posted "we'll see"
after the first few cupcakes. We
are now playing better teams,
and winning. One more in this
tourney, and we get Everett and
Harris back.

I believe that the plan is to play Harris again tomorrow. They didn't want her playing three games in three days coming back off the knee surgery, so they played her the first game, rested her today, and assuming that there are no problems are planning on playing her tomorrow.

Is that ever the truth! If
I didn't know who our
players were, I wouldn't
have been able to follow
the action. I guess so many
games now can be streamed
has caused this....many of
these announcers would
never get on the air.

That makes sense. What's
the deal with Everett? Is
she being punished?

The good news is, our
secondary players are
getting minutes and they're
producing. I doubt any on
here would have guessed
we could play like this and
win without those two.
