FSU stud in the middle didn’t play. Can say that about all teams but Pitt caught a break. Middle of Pitt’s line wouldnt have moved him at all. ND’s #24 “the second TE” blocks with more tenacity and voracity than any Pitt lineman.
I didn’t see the game but it sure sounds like it was all-around good.
As I was on/off keeping tabs on score n stats on my phone, I was surprised to see Patti with 2 1-yard TD’s but nothing else. I guess they were bringing him on the 1-yard line for QB-sneaks since Kenny wouldn’t have any push-off for that on a bad ankle.
And related, I guess the only downer of the game, they had 1st n goal from the 1 later and had to settle for a FG after 3 more Patti QB sneak attempts. That unfortunately brings back too many bad memories.
On the plus side, from the stats, looks like Addison had a great game. Including a TD that maybe shouldn’t have been turned over leading to the 3-QB sneaks fiasco.
Well Pitts top three DTs weren’t in also and we stopped their run game outside of the long run by the qb
and yes I think 4 tds, 150 yards on 27 carries including sacks is a great running game for us this year
