8 team playoff Hypothetical

A lot of national media talk about the conference championships, should we get rid of divisions in the conferences, should we expand the playoffs, yada yada yada.

I think for sure that it should be 8 teams, because even though there are clearly top 2 teams the last couple years, if you go further back the was much more parody than there is now that Clemson and Alabama have become the titans of industry. But as we have seen it must come to an end as all dynasties do, so this should be implemented. Here is this years "If it ended today" 8 team playoff and the last ten years to show how much fun this thing would be.

(A few notes, 5 conference champs get in, G5 gets an auto bid if they have a top 12 team, if a team "stole" a bid by being outside of the top 8 I noted their current ranking.
