Florida, which had far greater success than Pitt, hired Mike White a guy whose claim to fame was guiding LA TECH to the NIT.

I'd love to see Barnes hire a guy like Marshall. But the reality is that is a very low probability.

That doesn't mean that there are not excellent candidates out there who can do a great job. I'd suggest waiting to see who Pitt hires, and then what type of job he does in year one before proclaiming the sky is falling or Pitt is somehow a crappy program.

I honestly haven't seen one person proclaiming either the sky is falling or Pitt is a crappy job

Hire Buzz Williams then. Is VT a better place to be too? Just curious, I like Buzz. Does well everywhere he goes, and always goes some place not so great.

Well, if Buzz's name hasn't come up at all for Pitt my guess is that he views it as a better place to be.

Clearly you have not been reading this board.
Indeed I have. I've seen folks who question whether or not Pitt can replace Dixon with as successful a coach. That is a valid concern because JD was a very good coach. I've seen people who say Pitt is a good job but not a great job. Haven't seen anybody say Pitt is a crappy program/job

While true, UF had to hire a coach in May, not March. Enormous different in the market. Maybe they still would have hired White in late March or early April, but their choices were very, very limited by May.

That's for starters. There are a number of others who act like the sky is falling.
