James Conner, Nate Peterman, Adam Bisnowaty, Dorian Johnson, Scott Orndoff - these are big shoes to fill. But Pitt's next offensive coordinator will have some pretty good players to work with.
Obviously the big question is quarterback, but one very interesting thing to me is how the new OC will use Quadree Henderson and George Aston. Those guys scored 14 offensive touchdowns between them, but it wasn't done in entirely "conventional" ways, so will the new OC incoporate some of that into his system? Or will Henderson go back to just being a WR and Aston back to just being a blocking fullback?
I think that's a very interesting question for the next hire. Aston and Henderson's 14 touchdowns are nearly half of the 30 touchdowns scored by players who will be on the roster next season (not counting Brian O'Neill's 2 scores) and you'd have to think the next OC would want to have those points as much as he can. It will be interesting to watch.
