RB Fred Holly from Univ of Hawaii. 6-0’, 210 lbs. His numbers are low because Hawaii throws like crazy and runs very little. Despite avg 5.6 per carry he saw his carries. There had to be a dog house situation here. Fred Holly is the kind of running back that should get 12 to 15 carries a game and give you 750-800 yards rushing on the season. I think he’s a serviceable option for one season. That might seem pedestrian to some but it’s better than our current production. He seems to fit the finesse game Whipple deploys on the ground.
Again, not saying I think Fred Holly would be anything more than a serviceable back for one year but I think we should add competition to that room and would be a nice one two punch w/ Vincent Davis.
