We lost on a last second FG at #3, by a TD to #11, and we were respectable (albeit sloppy) against #5. We won the rest including a bunch of road games...we deserve to be in the 18-22 conversation. They will have no choice to put us in the top 25 next week if we beat Miami...there will be a lot of teams in the 18-25 range that will lose again next week.

We're on the door step. if we win next week we're in and just think, we get to see that ranking all the way thru bowl season!

"TD_6082, post: 545009, member: 510"]Its a lack of quality wins, a lack of respect for the Hawkeyes, the UNC & Notre Dame games getting away from us before the half, and the irrelevant status of the program for the last few seasons.
9-3 should easily get Pitt ranked.

Hmmnnnn, could be 8-5, 9-4 or 10-3 pretty good for a First Year Coach that was never a Head Coach before is it not? Even better than what James Franklin did at Vanderbilt you bragged so much about?

Kind of makes one wonder why can't Franklin turn Penn State around as he did Vanderbilt when he has such a bigger and better Program with far more revenues and resources at Penn State far better than anything he had at Vandy???
