Because he is not that smart. 3rd year of program development and Narduzzi has been exposed as another dummy high school coach ( LOL the dummies on this Board were critical of Chrystal but at least he had a plan.
Got news for you. Pitt will be announcing Narduzzi's firing at the end of 2019 season ( I have watched Pitt enough that I can accurately predict a failed coach's tenure.

I agree with your overall premise regarding Football coaches and Narduzzi. It is troubling that Narduzzi doesn't adapt. You would think Narduzzi would've drastically changed his defensive scheme for this game. 3 D-Lineman, 2 linebackers that can run and tackle ( Brightwell & Pine ) and six db's.
Not HCPN. No we're going to focus on the run!!!! And consequently give up 497 yards and 49 points - in the first half.

Wow, talk about stereotyping! HCs are people that specialize in coaching. They cannot be classified as smarter or dumber than the average guy with a decent job. But, Narduzzi should not be on the 'hot seat' after Saturday's game. I know fans overreact, and it is expected that these boards would be buzzing with negativity, but the ACC hasn't even started yet for Pitt. One game, win or lose, is just that. PSU fans were calling for Franklin's head after the Michigan massacre last year, and look what happened. A majority of Pitt fans like Narduzzi, and will hope that he stays. Third years can be tough on coaches, and this may be a tough year, but the future could be bright when some of the young guys develop.
