Well guys, if you are a Pitt fan and you've been waiting for what we got to experience this year, enjoy the next 24 hours or so.
There can be no complaints from the usual group of naysayers. What occurred this year was very special.
Most objective Pitt football fans would have expected the team to have a 7-5 or 8-4 record for the year if things went well. A final regular season won/loss record of 10-2 was really by most and that includes myself. To watch the players and coaches put it all together was something special. Obviously, this is something that every Pitt fan wants for the football program each year, will it continue into next year? Who knows, but lets at least take time to appreciate and enjoy what Pat Narduzzi, his staff and players have put together this year.
The rise of a QB that became a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate, a young stud at WR who has a great shot to continue his football career on Sundays in a year or two. A defense that statistically wasn't great, but man, they played to the best of their ability and rose to the challenge when they needed to make a play or two. Hey guys, this is NCAA D-I football and at this time, offense rules the game. There really are no defenses out their that can stop the top 10 teams in the country. If you want to win a championship, better be prepared to put some points on the board and this years Pitt offense is certainly capable of doing that.
For me personally, I am going to just sit back and enjoy this years Pitt football team. I hope they win tomorrow against Wake Forest and their bowl game as well, but if they lose either of those games, I still will appreciate what this years team was able to do.
Tomorrow, I say Pitt beats Wake Forest 48-38. Should be a high scoring and fun game to watch.
Congratulations and thanks to the 2021 Pitt Panther Football Team, it's Coaches and Staff. H2P!!!

Could not go to the game due to COVID but having some North Hill Pitt friends at the house to watch the game together. I graduated from Pitt in "81 and we took winning and kicking ass for granted.

Let's kick some ass tomorrow night! H2P

I thought with the talent they had that they should win 10 games this year and they did.

That makes me ecstatic!!!

It is the first time PN delivered the number of wins it seemed he should- thanks in part to Kenny and his receivers and all the other players who stepped up and played their tails off.

I am just so happy this team has helped this program get the monkey off its back (at least for now). No way this can be called a mediocre season: Let’s hope this winning continues and “Pitting” becomes a good thing.

Pitt finished the regular season in the top 20 with 10 wins. I liked typing that so much that I will type it again: Pitt finished the regular season in the top 20 with 10 wins… and they may end up with as many as 12 wins.

Let’s go Pitt!
Bring home the ACC Championship!!!

Just read it again, good post!

I agree about the D. I am sure tonight we will all be complaining about Hallets cover skills and Petishen missing a tackle, or not getting 34 sacks tonight, but you summed it up, they never quit. All good kids, play hard and smart.

Lets hope the refs dont spoil this game with bs targeting calls or whatever, and let these 2 teams play, It will be a good close game, with 2 QBs that dont quit. Lets enjoy a good game and H2P

This is a special day for Pitt athletics. Chasing two possible first NCAA national titles and our first football ACC championship. Getting here felt very distant 7 years ago.
