I just spoke with Tate Rodemaker, the 2020 QB at Valdosta (Ga.) who got an offer from Pitt today. He is pretty excited about the offer and hopes to visit soon since he is planning to sign in December and enroll in January.

Here's an interesting note: Rodemaker is committed to USF but he wants a Power Five opportunity. Pitt is the first school to provide such an opportunity, but others are showing interest - he named Virginia Tech, Utah and Baylor. What's really interesting is that he said Virginia Tech head coach Justin Fuente wants Rodemaker to call him today, as in a few minutes after our interview.

It's pretty notable when the head coach wants you to call, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see a tweet from Rodemaker later this afternoon saying that VT offered him.
