Loyalty, dedication, hardwork, and the concept of team is dying. It's all about me, me, and "getting mine."
I understand the coaches get paid and the school makes money off of the players, but the original concept of players receiving a free education and stipens for certain things is all that's needed. I'm 43 years old, I'm old, but not that damn old . All of this stinks and cheapens it for all other students, athletes, and the pageantry of college sports. It truly is a reflection of the times we are living in.
And for anyone who will tell me to relax, my question is this: would you rather teach your children the ethics of hardwork, dedication, loyalty, and a sense of pride in the work they achieve or simply "go get yours?"
