Looks like they had the Atlantic pretty accurate. Their pre-season picks:

1. Clemson
2. FSU
3. Louisville
4. NCSU
5. BC
6. Syracuse
7. WF

Actual:

1. Clemson
2. FSU
3. Louisville
4. NCSU
5. Syracuse
6. WF
7. BC

But they completely missed on the Coastal. It's practically upside-down. Pre-season:

1. GT
2. VT
3. Miami
4. Duke
5. UNC
6. Pitt
7. UVa

Actual:

1. UNC
2. Pitt
3. Miami
4. UVa
5. Duke
6. VT
7. GT

Out of 158 media members.... only 3 gave Pitt a first-place vote, and only 4 game UNC a first-place vote. 96 gave 3-8 GT a first-place vote.

I would go UNC, Pitt as 1 and 2 next year. Miami 3 if they get the right coach. Who knows about the rest.

Ask anyone who plays football and I'm sure they will tell you Georgia Tech is not anywhere near as bad as their record. They have a ton of talent, they just happened to lose to teams nearly every week that were better teams than them and/or just played better than them that week. They will be back near the top of the division next season and I can see Pitt and Georgia Tech battling it out for the Coastal Division Title on a consistent basis.

A sign of Pitt finally selecting a Great Coach that wants to be at Pitt with an Athletic Directors that listens and works with him together! Beating Pelini, Bowden, Beamer, Johnson, London, Cutcliffe and Petrino was not easy and they were established Coaches & Staffs with giher Recruiting and Talent, not a New Head Coach & Staff.

Losing hut not quitting against Top ranked Teams in Iowa, UNC, and Notre Dame until all Units came together was good as well.

Pitt did not win most games by that much nor lose them either, but they got better every game on the GridIron and Sidelines!

This is a sign a Great Coach that enjoys the challenge of coaching!

Actually who of you would have given Pitt a first place vote for this year? I wouldn't have, there was nothing to indicate they deserved it. However I'm glad this prediction did not come to fruition.
