Is it common for rookie deals to be torn up and re-done in the NFL? I thought the NFLPA bargained for the fifth-year option on rookie deals and if the option was picked up it is for $8 million, with every dollar guaranteed against the cap.

Going into their last year of the rookie deal they can extend him to whatever they want,any time earlier then the last year they can only get like a 20% raise or something like that
