ACC Ground Game Ranking

Always a question mark. 7 isn't bad though, especially for losing Hall/Ollison and a bunch of linemen. I think we're due some respect given the generally consistent pedigree of solid running backs and run blocking, but we'll see.

We just need our running attack to be closer to average because that will set up our new air attack. Play action is going to be huge with this offense and the speed from our WRs.

I see this guy has Virginia's rush attack dead last in the ACC this year. If they can't run the football against us in the opener, they will not beat us. Our defense will feast on them if they are presented with a bunch of 3rd and long situations. I know it is only a prediction, but, if he is anywhere near in the ballpark, Virginia will not be in the Coastal title hunt without being able to run the football.

My main concern with UVA's rushing attack is Perkins from the QB spot.

His running ability, and the fear that in the first game our D will get caught out of position on a few RPO's where a short pass could really test our new LBers.

I tend to think it may be a high scoring game, with Pitt coming out on top. But I do think UVA is going to get quite a few points, too.

I’ll take the under in that one-whatever it’s set at.

2 teams with a lot of question marks on offense and a lot of experience and high expectations on D. Both teams are run heavy offensively and are replacing O linemen and running backs.

I’ll be surprised if either team gets out of the low 20s.

Why do you think it will be a high scoring game?

That’s why they might have some success moving the ball.
But you think their offense is going to light up our defense?
And more specifically, you think our offense is going to light up their defense? How?
