Wondered how long it was going to take before someone posted about it.
My favorite was the UNC RB grabbing one of Pitt's ends and holding on for dear life late in that game.

On the 4th and 9 on the last drive, Maddox came on a corner blitz and got his facemasked yanked and it truly did impede his rush to the qb. He had his man beat and he would have disrupted the QB if not get the sack, but no call. Now with that said, you cannot blame the refs for Pitt Pitting, but damn, those non calls hurt!!
Ako Price is being James Harrisoned quite a bit with a tackle getting his arm wrapped around his neck every other pass play.
Holding or false starts are quick boring calls. When was the last time you watched a replay of afalse start on the big screen picturing the official throwing the flag.
Pass interference is more dramatic, has a larger impact, gets them on the big screen in the stadium and in homes!
They throw the flag
Run to get the flag
They run to the receiver and defender to get the ball
They watch the receiver and defender point at eachother and exchange opinions of eachothers moms and sisters as they run back to the huddle
They huddle up, wave their hands, point, shake and nod their heads, probably discussing where they'll go golfing Sunday but its all on national TV
They smile
Switch on their mike
And make a speech to millions
All on TV. Compare this to a false start, or holding call!
Today world is a big media event! Even for sports officials!
If you're a kid from the hills of Virginia, NC, or GA this is a dream job!
