The one thing there that makes no sense to me at all is that our ACC opener is on Sunday, December 3 against Clemson. Tip time is 2:00. On a day that the Stillers have a home game at 1:00.
That seems extraordinarily stupid.
Preach!Probably a good thing. We will never beat Clemson in basketball again. They usually make 11 of their first 13 3s. They are our new NC State. Actually I dont think we've beaten them since the Josh Newkirk buzzer beater.
Also at least a few conflicting with Pens games. Can't they get anything right?
I don't think they really can, or even should, try to avoid all the Penguin games. Way too many potential conflicts.
On the other hand, it's easy to avoid the Stiller games, especially the home games, because there just aren't that many of them.
The weird thing is that the ACC essentially stopped scheduling Sunday games after going away from ACC Sunday Night Hoops. A Sunday during the NFL season is really bizarre.
I remember we played a Big East game opposite a Saturday night Steeler playoff game in the days when we used to sell out every game and the place was half empty (which actually would have been a good crowd lately).
Half empty? There weren't 1000 people there that day.
If it was the game I am thinking of, Pitt was like a Top 10 team. I really think it was half-full, meaning 6000 no shows. It might have seemed empty because it was full every night
