ACC/SEC Challenge

PLEASE have Pitt come out west, ideally Mizzou. I’ll travel to Oklahoma or Arkansas, though.

Yea, this was pretty obvious. Been saying they should do this for years. Especially now with B10 going to Fox and ESPN having the ACC and SEC. This will be good for the ACC. A chance to test themselves vs an elite basketball league. It gives them something to shoot for. Perhaps one day, we can have a basketball league as good as the SEC.

UNC and Duke - 2 Elite, Blue Blood Programs
UVA, SU, and Louisville - 3 excellent programs
That’s 8 national titles over the last 20 years among those 5 teams.

Historically yes, but currently and over the last 10 years or so, Syracuse and Louisville are no better than Alabama, LSU, etc. The SEC is light years better and will continue to be until the ACC decides to pay coaches.

Louisville, UVA, Duke, and UNC all won titles within the last 10 years, and SU usually makes a solid run in the tournament.

ACC - 2 Elite Blue Bloods
SEC - 1 Elite Blue Blood

You Lose - Take the L

All the guys people said Pitt should hire (Musselman, Oats, Buzz) and the guys you know will do what it takes to get top recruits (Calipari, Barnes, Pearl) are in the SEC while Coach K is gone, Boeheim seems washed up finally, and Louisville falls into an abyss. Hubie was a very good hire by UNC it seems for now though and Bennett is one of the best in the business.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here. Are you really trying to say the ACC is currently a better basketball league than the SEC? Because that is idiotic. The Bottom 12 of the ACC are much closer to the A10 than SEC

Sec has dramatically improved in basketball over the last decade. This makes sense but does create less natural rivals for Pitt in the matchup
