Strange how it's happened that way.

It's looking to me like Pitt v. FSU is going to happen in the ACCT as the 8/9 game. I don't like that match-up at all if we need to win that game to get into the NCAAT assuming we end up at 9-9.

I know it's down the road a bit, but something to keep an eye on. Bacon and Beasley can beat any given team on any given night, IMO.

The Syracuse game is huge for 3 reasons:

1. Syracuse is going to make the NCAAT. No doubt. If we sweep them, there's no way they can leave us out with a similar resume.

2. We probably get the 7 seed with a win. I like going against the 10 (probably VT) more than FSU. More importantly, I think UNC will win the league and I'd rather face Miami or UVa as the 2 than UNC as the 1. UNC just has way too much talent and not even Roy could screw them up enough to lose to us this year.

3. 7PM vs noon. We're looking at 2 consecutive weekday nooners as an 8 seed. That totally sucks for fans. We could fall to the 10 seed if we go 7-11 or 8-10 but at that point the consolation of playing at 7PM will not matter.

Actually, if Pitt goes 7-11, we could be the 11 seed and play BC on Tuesday if GT beats BC on the road and wins 1 more game besides beating us.
