Actual options for Barnes if all this is true

If it's true that several coaches turned Pitt down--including Enfield because we wouldn't pay him Dixon money--and we are getting Stallings, what are our options RIGHT NOW if Barnes is reading the boards, blogs, and tweets and realizes he's in a world of sh!t with the entire fan base?

1) Could he call Enfield back and give up the Dixon $? It would cost a ton (both with that salary and breaking the new Stallings contract) but the entire fan base would be happy.

2) Is there anyone else he could interview/offer at this point that they haven't already? I personally would be great with David Arseneault Jr. since he's very successful in the NBA D-League with the world's most exciting style (Grinnell's coach is his dad), and he's a young go-getter (29). He wouldn't cost much as a new college coach, so you dump the money into assistants who recruit. Who else would you want them to approach that hasn't already turned us down?

Damn man, it's over. After reading posts today from you, Steel Curtain, and pitt-girl, I think all three of you need to either move to Canada or find a new school to root for.

I am sure the big response from the Pitt Lair message board of a bunch of anonymous posters will absolutely change the minds of the administration and they will rescind Stallings' offer and hire your guy Arseneault.
