Pat Narduzzi made the decision to pull Max Browne in the second quarter of Pitt’s 59-21 loss to Oklahoma State at Heinz Field on Saturday, and now he’s got another decision to make:

Stick with Ben DiNucci or go back to Browne?

After Saturday’s game, Narduzzi acknowledged that this week will be interesting.

“Yeah, we have a decision to make, for sure,” he said.

Easy decision, although Ben might not be the answer either. Dinucci should have gotten more reps before the season started. Tackling was pitiful. If they don't shore that up it will be a long season. Aren't we tired of long seasons yet. With all the fencing all around the lots, I'm about to start watching games from home. They're making it a not so friendly fan atmosphere, and dangerous to boot.

Last week after Narduzzi said Browne was still his starter, I believed him. Next game, if Narduzzi starts Browne, he's not very bright. Last year in the middle of the season, Browne held a news conference to let the world know he was going to transfer at the end of the year. When that time came, Narduzzi was basically the only one who wanted him. The other coaches knew the deal. What kind of teammate announces his transfer during the season? Of the 11 offensive players on the field, 10 of them do not have much interest in playing with Browne. When Ben comes in, its a different feel. Don't get me wrong, Ben is not the end all be all. His arm strength on a p5 level is not to good, the reason he didn't have any offers either. Are you noticing a pattern?

But at the end of the day, Watson's offense is 108th in the country in scoring. Finding some solutions to the problem would go a long way. With our current offense its a struggle to complete forward passes.

The Pitt/GT line opened at 7.5. I was expecting 3 or 3.5.

Chris, you better have the whole fire department ready to control the conflagration on this board if Duzz starts Browne in Georgia Saturday. Nooch isn't Dan Marino but his mobility and presence in the pocket make him an obvious improvement over Max Browne.
