I got to thinking about him coaching Drew Brees and how often Brees ran the ball. They used him mainly on rollouts and from this really crappy video that I found you can also see some times when he drops back sees the coverage dropping and runs.
I really think Chaney can use Chad in much the same way Drew Brees was used in college. If Chad can improve his accuracy and decision making (finding the open receiver versus finding Boyd) that he can be a top level college QB.
