you've read my words 100 x's that i wanted nate oates. i can't remember who but someone mentioned that pitt looked at him initially but felt he wasn't the best culture fit. there was some implication of impropriety. i assumed it was in re: to getting to recruits but really don't know.
now i see this and i will say that the pitt administration was right. i'd love to be a #1 seed right now but not with a coach who says things like this (re: a player involved in a shooting).
