All Eyes On Conner As Pitt Begins Training Camp, LINK!

Pitt sophomore safety and good friend Jordan Whitehead said the team is energized by Conner's recovery. “James makes me never want to complain ever,” Whitehead said. “He's one of the best guys I know. He was my host when I came up here (to be recruited). He was one of the main reasons I committed. “He brings a lot of energy to practice every day.”............
“Going for Heisman,” he said..............
“It was bigger than football,” he said. Conner said Marks and several nurses who helped him during chemo treatments at the Hillman Cancer Center will be at opener at Heinz Field.
“I got the Lord on my side, a great support staff,” he said. “I didn't fight it alone.”

In this world where there is so much to disdain in sports, isn't it great to see a kid like Conner overcome such adversity? His drive and faith are inspirational. You can see the impact he has had on so many people. He made fans even out of his medical care staff. That's a testimony to the caliber of the kid and his authenticity. Just a great story still being written.

In this world where there is so much to disdain in sports, isn't it great to see a kid like Conner overcome such adversity? His drive and faith are inspirational. You can see the impact he has had on so many people. He made fans even out of his medical care staff. That's a testimony to the caliber of the kid and his authenticity. Just a great story still being written.

Brings a smile to my face every time I read about this quiet strength of purpose to live life helping others, and just goes about living his life his own way crediting many and yet, just a solid determination to to do, be, and all he can be every minute in gratitude and in that way by example with no personal fanfare just a unique person.

Remember, even before he became a ACC Players of the year, he was helping a child who had a disease, and why before James hurt his Knee and then had to deal with his own Cancer, and now back to all business of not him becoming better, but making everyone that is around him want to be better.

I don't know know where Pitt attracts such Recruits that become Players everyone is proud of, where does Pitt find such men, no brag, no swagger, just proud they choose Pitt and in turn Pitt is proud to help mold such men to become even better!

The season has yet to play one minute but I am very thankful to read about James & The Chosen Pitt Five That Chose Pitt!

What a Special Pitt Football Era I have had the Honor and Privilege to watch and witness. Others can talk about Honor, Success, and being Special, but Pitt Football Programs lives in every Player that chooses Pitt Is It!
