I guarantee he is one of the "6 assistant coaches" in the NBC report.

There were many of you idiots who heavily advocated for Tom Bradley after Graham left and after Chryst left. I don't expect many of you to admit it, of course.

ANYTHING and ANYONE who was associated with the football program 150 miles to our east from 1966 to 2011 should be completely untouchable by Pitt's administration. Not even a job as a waterboy.

We talk about the "Cult" of Penn State fans all the time..... but we had our very own "Cult of Tom Bradley" among Pitt fans.

Thank goodness nobody listened to you guys.

The one kid stated he saw Bradley walk in on him and Jerry in the shower. Of course one is Bradley. Scumbag just like paterno

First off you can guarantee no such thing.
Second you don't have to call fellow posters idiots because they wanted Bradley. misguided would be a better word.

That being said I never wanted Bradley for a simpler reason. His credentials as a potential head coach were fraudulent [sorry Ron cook]. He was a good but not great recruiter. He did well in western Pa. in an era when Pitt football was really at a low point. He got a lot of kids out of this region by poor mouthing and lying about Pittsburgh as a city and Pitt as a program. It wasn't that hard to lead kids away from Pittsburgh for a good period on time back then.

And Bradley never had great defenses when he was running the show on that side of the ball. If he was such a great candidate why didn't some other program hire him.

If he was such a great candidate why didn't some other program hire him.

Because the facade of the program he was long associat4ed with was beginning to crumble and those in a position to make those hires had started to see through it. (Rumors and hints about Sandusky were circulating as far back as when I was a high school player in the '70s.)

I was one who defended Bradley. Not that I necessarily wanted him. But I will admit I was wrong. I am still trying to figure out how these guys, these football coaches, obviously not shrinking violets, men who played this physical sport did not kick Sandusky's ass when they saw this stuff.

FWIW, I'll fess-up: I wanted Bradley, but keep in mind that this was before the story about Sandusky & the UPS cover-up made headlines.

Looking back, who else was Pitt considering when they made their decision? Michael Haywood...Al Golden...Brady Hoke...Todd Graham.

Mike Haywood - we know what happened shortly after he was hired.

Al Golden - couldn't even win at Miami.

Brady Hoke - couldn't even win at Michigan.

Todd Graham -

That's not exactly a list from "Who's Who of Great American Football Coaches", so anyone who wanted any of ^^^those^^^ guys has egg on their face, too.

Has Bradley been named or are you guys assuming it's him because he was there when all these hideous crimes were committed?
Because if you are assuming that Bradley knew because he spent a huge portion of his life in the football building when Sandusky had full and complete access, then I would have to ask these questions.
Are you confident that Tom Bradley knows where the showers are located? Are you confident that Bradley knew Sandusky? Are you confident that when Sandusky "retired" that Bradley was in the dark as to the reasons?
Are you confident that the late Joe Paterno never whispered a word to Bradley about Sandusky being seen in the showers with little boys?
Are you confident that Bradley was clueless about Sandusky s' filthy habits?
Are you confident that all the white males associated with Penn State football kept their mouths shut in the hopes that the whole matter would just go away?
Or do you think that they missed the chance in the beginning and once lost, it was everyone's dirty little secret and they had everything to lose after letting the chance at being real men pass without even a shed tear for the rape victims?
